About Image Cropper & Resizer

Shrinks a photo until it fits under a file size you choose, such as 20 KB or 50 KB. It lowers the JPEG quality first and reduces the dimensions only if it has to, then tells you the exact final size. You can crop and set exact pixel dimensions too. Your photo stays on your device.

When people use it

  • An application form that rejects photos over a size limit
  • Uploading a photo or signature where the form gives a KB range
  • Sending images over a slow connection
  • Fitting profile photos into an old system with strict limits

Questions

How do I reduce a photo to under 50 KB?

Open the photo, choose 50 KB as the maximum file size, and download. The tool lowers quality and then size until the file fits, and shows the final size.

The form also asks for exact pixel dimensions. Can I set both?

Yes. Type the width and height under Output size, then choose the KB limit. Both are applied together.

Why is the result a JPG?

JPG is the format almost every upload form accepts, and it is the only one that can be squeezed to an exact size without looking broken.
